| Hot Off the Press – AMVL GLOBAL MIGRATION Welcome to the last month of Winter in Australia – this has been an exciting time for us all here at AMVL with the 1 July changes to the Migration Programme, a Federal Election (with the results of who will be running our country still not yet clear), and some changes to our office structure and approach to our clients. First of all, we would like to remind you that AMVL have always put our client first – our motto is, “Your Future – Our Priority”. To enable us to effectively meet this motto and all that it encompasses, we have made some big changes to our file management systems and the services we can offer to you, our client. After all, the decision to move to another country should not be taken lightly and we would like you to be comforted by the knowledge that you have a specialist team managing your visa process for you.
AMVL Global Migration The first big change is our name – we are moving from Australian Migration and Visa Lawyers to AMVL Global Migration. Yes, this does mean that we are branching out to assist applicants migrate, not only to Australia, but to other countries! This is a very exciting change and we would like to introduce you to Mr Chris Willis, a Canadian Visa Specialist. Chris is currently operating out of Canada, but will be in Australia later on this year. He will be making regular trips to and from Canada and Australian as well as Ireland and the UK. Personalised Service Secondly, we have separated our Migration Agents and support personnel into TEAMS who will exclusively manage only one or two areas of migration. This has been done to meet your needs as our clients. You will have access to a Senior Registered Migration Agent or Agents and support staff who are up to date with the current legislation as it relates to you. We feel that this change best provides a personal approach to the often impersonal migration process. For our clients based in Ireland, this means maintaining our permanent office in Ireland. Our Irish based team is made up of Kathleen Lucey and Corina Staunton who are both Client Liaison Officers working with us full time in our offices in Clane, Co Kildare. Kathleen and Corina are supported by Ms Amanda Skeen who is one of AMVL Global’s most senior registered migration agents and owners of the business.
Upcoming Shows in Ireland Both Amanda and Chris will be attending the Working Abroad Show at the RDS (Ireland) on the weekend of 2 and 3 October where we will have a joint Australia and Canada Stand. Amanda will then be attending the Working Abroad Health Shows in Cork and Dublin on the 5th and 7th of October where we will be teaming up with Iain Dalton from Elmbvia (a specialist medical recruiter). We will be sending more information out about these shows in our next newsletter. If you are in Ireland at this time, please come and meet with us all.
An Exciting New System! Finally, we are currently working on some very exciting technology that will create a real point of difference for you, our client. This technology will enable you to access your file through a special dedicated page via our website. This information will of course be available only to you (via password protected log on) and will mean you can access information packs covering information on Australia, your specific destinations, school systems, taxation, relocation, jobs etc. You will also be able to view progress on your file and have information on updates as they come to hand. This is a real step forward for us and we hope this will help you interact with us on a more personal level – at no extra cost!
