At AMVL Migrations we aim to deliver expert advice and responsible solutions. We provide honest, expert advice to deliver the best migration pathway for our clients to follow. At all times we operate responsibly and ethcially within the MARA Code of Conduct.

Since 1996 our agents have processed over 14 000 applications on behalf of our clients who wished to immigrate to Australia. Our Registered Migration Agents are supported by an experienced team of paralegals and professional services assistants.

  Helen Duncan FMIA

Helen Duncan has been a Registered Migration Agent for more than 12 years, and has worked in immigration since 1987 with the Department of Immigration in Canberra; Santiago, Chile and Los Angeles, where she was Vice-Consul Immigration.

Helen has a long list of credentials, including being a professional demographer, a regular presenter of CPD and lectures in migration law and practice at the Australian National University, and his heavily involved in both teaching in the Practice Ready Program with the MIA and mentoring new Registered Migration Agents.

Helen is also heavily involved with the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA), serving for two years on the National Board and is a proud Fellow of the MIA.

At AMVL, Helen is responsible for client relations, supervision of visa work in a multitude of categories, and of course undertaking many visa applications.


Bill Gamack
Director, BCom FCA

Bill is a non-executive Director at AMVL and a Registered Migration Agent. Although he is not 'hands on' with visa applications, he provides valuable input and advice. Bill is a chartered accountant "by trade" with a wealth of business management experience which has included 10 years working overseas - in the United Kingdom and the Middle-East.

He completed his Graduate Certificate in Migration Law at Griffith University.




Christel Dajcz
Registered Migration Agent (MARN) 1066568
Christel joined AMVL in 2005 and became the Office Manager, ensuring that the AMVL office was always running smoothly.

Over the years, Christel has worked in all different areas of migration. After working in and managing the Family Residence Team for a number of years, Christel moved into our Employer Sponsored Team in order increase her knowledge and focus on a rapidly-growing area of our firm.

Outside of work Christel loves to travel and has an interest in photography.


Kara Williams
Registered Migration Agent (MARN) 1386065
Kara joined AMVL Migrations in 2014 as a Registered Migration Agent. She currently works in the family residence team, assisting applicants from many different countries to be re-united with their loved ones in Australia. 

Kara holds a Bachelor of Social Science and Government Policy and a Graduate Certificate in Migration Law and Practice from Griffith University. She is currently studying to complete a Bachelor of Laws with the Queensland University of Technology. 

When she's not assisting clients at AMVL, Kara loves to travel and lists South America, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain as some of the countries that she has visited.

Thomas Wingfield

Thomas joined AMVL Migrations in 2012 as a Paralegal and has since become a Registered Migration Agent. He currently works in the skilled migration and employer sponsored teams, assisting a broad range of clients from around the world.

Thomas completed a Bachelor of Laws at the Queensland University of Technology. He is a British and Australian citizen and has worked in migration law in the United Kingdom.

Thomas enjoys working in migration because he takes pride in assisting people with obtaining visas and migrating to Australia.


Hamish Martin

Hamish has been a member of the AMVL Migrations team since 2011, working part-time whilst completing his law degree at the University of Southern Queensland. After finishing his studies Hamish became a full-time Paralegal, gaining a wide-range of migration experience working in our Employer Sponsored team.

In 2013 Hamish was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland, obtaining his legal practicing certificate and has since become a Registered Migration Agent. Hamish continues to work within, and be an integral member of our Employer Sponsored team, whilst also assisting our Skilled Migration team.

Outside of AMVL, Hamish is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing cricket and touch football. He also enjoys travelling and experiencing other cultures.

Michael Yong

In Malaysia, AMVL Migrations has joined forces with a Kuala Lumpur-based Australian Registered Migration Agent – Kitson Migration Advisory. Mr Michael Yong is a partner of Kitson Migration Advisory.

Michael is an Australian graduate from RMIT University, Melbourne with a Master’s degree in Business Admin and a Graduate Certificate in Migration Law and Practice from Griffith University, Brisbane.

Michael is a member of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA) and member of Malaysia Institute of Management (MIM).
